A plan is only as good as the survey behind it. We test and record the conditions before drawing anything, because a scheme that ignores heavy clay or a north facing wall will fail regardless of how well it is drawn.
Design here means planting design. We are horticulturalists rather than hard landscape architects, so patios, walls, and structural work sit outside what we do. If a scheme needs them, we will say so and work alongside whoever builds them.

Garden Design & Planting Plans, Answered
Do I have to use you for the planting?
No. Plenty of clients take the plan and do the work themselves, and the consultation option exists for exactly that.
What do I actually receive?
A scaled planting plan, a species and quantity list, and written guidance on aftercare. We will walk you through it in the garden.
Do you design hard landscaping?
No. Patios, walls, decking, and drainage sit outside our trade, and we would rather refer you than pretend otherwise.
How long does the process take?
Survey to finished plan is usually a few weeks. Planting is then scheduled to the right window rather than the earliest available date.
Where we work. Cal Verde is based in Rochester and covers Kent and South East London, from the Medway towns and Maidstone out to Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells, and across Blackheath, Greenwich, Chislehurst, Bromley, and Dulwich.
