What Is Included

Garden Maintenance, Covered Properly

Regular, properly planned garden care from RHS qualified horticulturalists. We look after the whole garden, season by season, so it stays considered all year rather than tidy for a fortnight.

Lawn maintenance

Mowing at the right height for the season, edges done, clippings removed.

Bed and border care

Weeding, mulching, deadheading, and lifting or dividing where plants need it.

Pruning

Timed to the species rather than the calendar. Cutting at the wrong point costs a season of flower.

Seasonal tidying

Leaf clearance, cutting back, and preparing beds for the next flush of growth.

Plant health management

Early identification of disease, pests, and stress before it spreads.

Ongoing development

Suggestions for improvement as the garden matures, not just holding it still.

Our Approach

High Standards. Every Time.

Maintenance is where horticultural knowledge shows most clearly. Anyone can cut a lawn. Knowing when to prune a wisteria, why a hydrangea is not flowering, or what a yellowing leaf actually means is a different skill.

We work to a plan agreed at the site visit and adjust it as the garden changes. Contracts run weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, booked at your convenience. Every visit ends the same way, with the site left immaculate.

Common Questions

Garden Maintenance, Answered

How often should my garden be visited?

It depends on size, planting, and how you use the space. Most residential gardens sit on fortnightly through the growing season and monthly over winter. We recommend a schedule at the site visit rather than guessing over the phone.

Do I need to be home?

No. Once access is arranged, most clients are at work when we visit. We will always let you know what was done.

Do you take the green waste away?

Yes. All arisings are removed and disposed of responsibly, unless you would rather they were composted on site.

Is there a minimum contract length?

No minimum job size and no long tie in. Plans can be adjusted as your garden and your circumstances change.

Where we work. Cal Verde is based in Rochester and covers Kent and South East London, from the Medway towns and Maidstone out to Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells, and across Blackheath, Greenwich, Chislehurst, Bromley, and Dulwich.
