Most planting failures are soil failures. Kent gives you everything from heavy Weald clay to thin chalk over the Downs, and South East London gardens are often builder's rubble under six inches of topsoil. What thrives in one will sulk in the other, so we assess the ground before choosing anything.
Aspect matters just as much. A south facing wall in Blackheath is a different climate from a north facing town garden in Rochester. Planting to the conditions rather than to a catalogue is the difference between a scheme that establishes and one that needs replacing in two years.

Do you supply the plants?
Yes. We source from proper nurseries rather than garden centre clearance racks, and we will show you the plan and the plant list before anything is ordered.
Can you work with what is already there?
Often that is the better route. Established planting has already proved it can cope with your conditions, and reworking around it usually gives a stronger result than starting again.
What about watering once it is planted?
New planting needs consistent water through its first season. We will tell you exactly what it needs, and irrigation can be installed if you would rather not do it by hand.
How soon will it look established?
Give it two full seasons. Planting at correct spacing looks sparse at first and right later. Planting that looks full on day one has been put in too close.
